Feversham Monument
Dominating Helmsley Market Place is the memorial to the 2nd Baron Feversham. It's Grade 2* listed with Historic England. Helmsley Town Council has owned it since the 1980s.
Looking after the Monument
About every 5 years, the Monument is professionally inspected for safety and conservation reasons. In 2021 it was surveyed by Ferrey & Mennim Architects of York. They then sought tenders from suitable specialists for the work required and Pinnacle Conservation Ltd were awarded the contract by the council and carried out restoration work in 2021.
