Defibrillators provided by Helmsley Town Council
Helmsley Town Council provides 4 defibrillators available for use at any time by members of the public and the emergency services.
In an emergency people are advised to call 999. If a defibrillator is needed then the call handler will advise of the nearest one available, which may not be the town council's. If a town council defibrillator is needed the call handler will give the caller a keycode for the door.
No training is needed to use the council's defibrillators and no information such as a cabinet number or code has to be provided when 999 is called.
When the defibrillator is no longer needed please put it back in the cabinet and close the door properly. The town clerk receives notification that the defibrillator has been removed/used and it will be checked and made available for use again as soon as possible.
Helmsley Town Council's defibrillators are registered with the emergency services and on The Circuit.
